Self-Ligating Clear Bracket System
Self-ligating clear braces combine two of the latest orthodontic technologies to produce both aesthetically pleasing and efficient braces. Rubber ligation is no longer required. There will be no discolouration of the rubber from eating foods such as curries, red wine, soft drinks, etc. Moreover, there is no longer a need to change the ‘O’ rings which equates to fewer appointments. Better technology and advancement meant that the metal self ligating braces were revolutionised. This resulted in patients being offered a greater choice and flexibility in clear/ceramic self ligating brackets. Ceramic self ligating braces serve the same function and are more aesthetically pleasing due to their translucent look compared to metal self ligating braces.
